Sagicor Life Intranet

Sagicor Life

The concept of an Intranet was first introduced to Sagicor in 2006. In the original days the Intranet was viewed as a means to share documents and information – a centralised storage area.

Communication methods have changed significantly over the past seven years and there are new, more effective ways to share information and give feedback.

The changes to the intranet were designed to help staff increase productivity and levels of engagement and foster greater communication.

At present Saginet can be viewed by the approximately 600 staff in Barbados, but within the coming month, staff in the Eastern Caribbean will also be able to share in the Saginet experience.

As a champion of the effort to combat the chronic disease epidemic currently affecting the region, Sagicor has created a home for the Healthy Caribbean Coalition (HCC) on its intranet. The HCC page on Saginet provides a background on the organisation and the partnership of the two entities, as well as news and event updates from regional NGOs and civil societies.
