On October 4th 2022, our Bahamas team met with Her Excellency Mrs. Ann Marie Davis, The First Lady of The Bahamas.

On November 22th 2022, our Barbados team met with the Ministry of Health and Wellness of Barbados. Present at this meeting included the Ministry of State, Hon. Dr. Sonia Browne, Permanent Secretary Mrs. Janet Phillips, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kenneth George, Senior Medical and Officer Dr. Arthur Phillips.

We are pleased to share Ministry of Health and Wellness has been working with our Barbados Team and has included them as key stakeholders in the National Mental Health Policy reformation.

 

On October 21st 2022, Sahar Vasquez, HCY Member in Belize and Co-founder of Mind Health Connect Belize, met with the First Lady of Belize, Her Excellence Rossana Briceno to discuss the Mental Health Call to Action. Thank you to the First Lady for showing her commitment to mental health!

On January 25th 2023, our Jamaica team via the Jamaican Youth Advocacy Network (JYAN) met with representatives from the Ministry of Health and Wellness. Present at this meeting included Dr. Kevin Goulbourne – Director of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Senator Dr. Longmore - Consultant, Mrs. Petre Williams-Raynor, PR and Communications Manager.

We are pleased to share Ministry of Health and Wellness has agreed to collaborate with JYAN as they develop future Mental Health Policies and Initiatives.

On November 11th 2022, our Trinidad team met with representatives from the Mental Health Unit of the Ministry of Health Trinidad and Tobago. Present at this meeting included: Mrs. Ashvini Nath- Mental Health Unit Manager, Ms. Karline Brathwaite- Mental Health Planner and Dr. Karen Sealey- President of the Trinidad and Tobago NCD Alliance.
