Healthy Caribbean Coalition - Time To Act - The Global Emergency of Non-Communicable Diseases
On 19 May 2009, the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), World Heart Federation (WHF) and International
Union Against Cancer (UICC) held a joint event during the 62nd World Health Assembly.
The three federations, speaking as the global voices for diabetes, cardiovascular disease and
cancer, joined together to highlight the urgent need to take action against the global epidemic of
non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
