Women Deliver 2013 Conference

Women Deliver 2013 Conference From May 28th - May 30th, 2013, the Healthy Caribbean Coalition will join thousands of participants from around the world, including government leaders, policymakers, healthcare professionals, NGO representatives, corporate leaders, and global media outlets as they descend upon Kualu Lumpur, Malaysia for the Women Deliver Conference 2013 (Visit the Conference website here). Women Deliver is a global advocacy organization bringing together voices from around the world to call for action to improve the health and well-being of girls and women.

This year Global Health Strategies along with approximately 30 partners including the American Cancer Society will be holding a Global Forum on Cervical Cancer Prevention (www.cervicalcancerforum.org) on May 27th, 2013 to bring together global cervical cancer prevention leaders, advocates, academics and policy makers for an informative, consensus-building conversation to share best practices, highlight early adopters, and explore innovative financing options for comprehensive cervical cancer prevention and treatment programs.

The Healthy Caribbean Coalition has been invited to attend this meeting and speak on the collective power of group advocacy and the value and challenges of building a network of civil society organizations to push forward critical health issues. The HCC would like to take this opportunity to thank one of our longstanding supporters, the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), for funding our participation in Women Deliver 2013. Stay tuned for photos, videos and a blog.
