Healthy Caribbean Coalition - “Hands across the Caribbean” on Sunday September 19th at 7:00am

The East Caribbean Conference of Seventh
- day Adventists joins the Caribbean Union in Hands across the Caribbean on Sunday September 19th at 7:00am with a massive Health Walk throughout the Caribbean. 25 countries will participate in that walk. It is estimated that over 50,000 persons will be participating from Surinam in the South to St.Croix in the North.
“Hands across the Caribbean” is an initiative of the Caribbean Union Health Ministries Department. The Seventh-day Adventist Church has been promoting Healthy Lifestyles for over 100 years. Back then it was called Health Reform. Members of the Church are encouraged to abstain from the use of tobacco, Alcohol, coffee, Narcotics and other mind-altering drugs. The Church emphasizes the use of a plant Based /vegetarian diet low in sugar, salt and fat. Fruits nuts grains, vegetables and beans are recommended as the diet to maintain health and promote wellness and longevity.
